The Coaches like to help make recommendations for events in which they think individual swimmers should participate. If in doubt, please check in with Kevin and Erin about the best events for your swimmer.
STEPS FOR REGISTERING ONLINE FOR SWIM MEETS
The St. Helena Swim Club (Waves) is a member of the Pacific Swimming Association, which is part of USA Swimming. Every Waves Team member has insurance and a registration number through the Association.
To simply register for a meet, go to:
https://ome.swimconnection.com/meets
Directions for meet registration:
The meets page will show headings of
Date /
Status /

Closes.
Please scroll down until you find the meet in which you are interested in registering and click on the blue hyperlink under the
"Meet" heading.
The next screen will be the meet entry screen. You can have a look at the meet sheet by clicking on the
"Meet Sheet" link located at the top of the screen. The meet sheet gives the directions to the meet, the layout of each day's events, basic details about the meet. It is important to look at this sheet so you can see what events are available and on what day. Events are spread out over a two day period.
Once you have looked at the meet sheet to determine what events your swimmer will be participating in, click on the
"online meet entry" button, which will take you to a screen that asks if you are a registered user. At this point you can either become a registered user or just visit. It is suggested that you become a registered user, then you will not have to constantly add your information every time you register for meets.
Follow the instructions for becoming a registered user or visitor. Once you have completed that step you will be taken to the screen where you can enter your swimmer(s) by pushing the
"Enter Swimmer" Button. Then search by USA registration number, or by name and birth-date. Once you find the swimmer's name you want to enter, push
"Enter" button next to his/her name.
Next, you will be taken to a screen that has all the events in which your swimmer is eligible to swim, at the meet. Decide which events your swimmer wants to participate in and only push the
"Best" button on the right hand side, for those events, this will populate your swimmer's historical best time, in that event. If there is not a time recorded for your swimmer in that particular event, it will read "NT" or "no time".
Most teams hosting meets only allow 3 or 4 events per day/per swimmer. Once all the events have been chosen and the best times have been retrieved, push the
"Save" button at the bottom of the screen. The next screen is a summary of events. Please read through carefully and if all are satisfactory, push
"Go to Payment Page" button, follow the instructions, enter your credit card etc, and your swimmer will be registered.
It is a good idea to print out the summary sheets of events for which your swimmer is participating. You may also wan to print out the meet sheet with the details, directions and so forth for the meet. To review the entire USA - Swim Connection Site, go to

The St. Helena Waves
